This is an important season for a lot of our teams and at the top of the club with the mens 1 XI aiming for National Premier League and the ladies 1 XI aiming towards National League.

With the men’s South League restructuring next season, it brings high expectations for 2 XI, 3 XI and 3A XI.  The ladies section had a flourish of promotions last year, and we hope that they settle within their new leagues.

The club has a new contingent of captains in both the mens and ladies section, and we are certain that these dedicated individuals will add something special to each team.

I wish you all the best with your own playing success and the success of each team as we head through the season.

My new position as Director of Hockey provides a fresh challenge for myself, and also a fresh approach for our club.  The role I have is to grow the vision of providing a home for hockey at Holcombe Park.

The growth of the whole club is an integral part of the work of Director of Hockey.  Through the connection of various elements of the club, maintaining working relationships and open communication I hope that our club continues with individual and team success, and develops greater opportunity for the future.

I wish to act as a liaison point for club members ensuring that our club is fit for purpose and allows you the opportunity to play hockey and develop social relationships.

If you have any ideas or feedback, positive or negative, I would be happy to hear them.  I am looking forward to this season and the opportunities that it brings.
