Vice-President Ron Cross

It is with regret that the death of Ron Cross has been announced. He died last month after a fairly long illness. He was a member of the Old Holcombeians Hockey Club and player for them in the early 1950's. But he's always kept in touch during the later years, mainly through the other old boys. Ron had two sons who played for sometime for local rivals Gillingham Anchorians. His wife Janet is probably known by some of the older members as she was Mr. Surman's secretary at Chatham Technical School (as it was then called). When Ron moved away from the local area, he moved to Somerset, and Ron never forgot his past and honoured the club by naming his house "Holcombe", we guess the first and only time this has happened. All the clubs thoughts and condolences are with his family.
