RIP Graham Tappenden

It is with sadness the club has learned that former Old Holcombeians player Graham Tappenden has passed away. The club sends heartfelt thoughts to Nick and the rest of the family.

Goalscorer Graham and brother Nick were members of Old Holcombeians Hockey Club from the late sixties, and played alongside David South, Peter Waller, Peter Hancock, Graham Robertson and Paul Pearson among others. Graham supported others in producing a history of OHHC and compiling memories of the hockey section.

The funeral will be held at 1100 Thursday 25 July at the Medway Crematorium.  If anyone wishes to come then wearing Holcombe shirts encouraged (the rest of the family are wearing t-shirts of Graham's favourite bands, favourite football team etc).

No flowers please, though if anyone wishes to remember Graham then we invite donations to Parkinson's UK via this link please.

Graham suffered with Parkinson's Disease since 2016 and the help and support he received from his Parkinson's nurse was of great comfort.  So, to honour his memory we would like to raise funds to support those who are continuing to live with the condition and to hopefully find a cure.

Many thanks Jon Rye (Club Chairman)
