Holcombe Hockey Club sign top coach Julian Halls

Holcombe H C has signed Julian Halls, one of the country’s top coaches. He is a two-time Olympian and played 125 games for England and won another 59 caps for Great Britain. He has been coaching at Old Loughtonians for a number of years.

Halls, aged 43 and from Essex, is replacing Ryan Ravenscroft, who although having to stop coaching because of school and family commitments, is staying on to play.

The club is also installing a fully automated watering system for Pitch 1. It is hoped then that the club will have a pitch at its optimum level and ready for any 2012 Olympic Squads who might like to practice away from London.
