The Men’s 1st and 2nd XI's currently have their umpires allocated by either
county or divisional association. This leaves the men’s section of the club
trying to find another 11 umpires, ideally qualified to a minimum of EHA level
one. Harry Kemball is the unfortunate soul that has to sort this out each week,
usually resulting in umpires doing more than one game a day! If you are newly qualified at Level One and would like some match experience,
or you need to keep your qualification ‘active’, then please contact Viv Rudd or
Harry Kemball. The club is always keen to welcome anyone who is interested in
becoming an umpire.
NewsletterIn case you haven't seen it yet, there is a new free umpires' info paper called 'PLAY ON' out from Jane Nockolds at Milton Keynes. It looks like it is going to be issued quarterly free by e-mail (or £2 by snail-mail). Spring issue has 8 sides and the whole thing looks quite good. It has a Quiz, coaching corner with a thoughtful interview as well as a Youth bit.To get onto the mailing list, email Jane Nockolds. Title your email "Application to join the PLAY ON! directory " |
