The Men’s 1 / 2 / 3 XI's currently have their umpires allocated by either county or divisional association.  This leaves the men’s section of the club trying to find another ten umpires, qualified to a minimum of EHA level one, every week.  Harry Kemball is the unfortunate soul that has to organise this each week, usually resulting in umpires doing more than one game!

The Ladies 1st and 2nd XI's also currently have their umpires allocated by either the county or divisional association, however, this pool of umpires is provided, in the first instance, by the participating clubs.  This means that for each league weekend Holcombe Ladies must provide at least 2 umpires to officiate at a league fixture within the region.  In addition, 3 umpires are needed to officiate at the remaining 3 team's fixtures.  Umpires must be qualified to a minimum of EHA Level One to umpire league fixtures in the Ladies calendar.

If you are newly qualified at Level One and would like some match experience, or you need to keep your qualification ‘active’, then please contact Viv Rudd or Harry Kemball. The club is always keen to welcome anyone who is interested in becoming an umpire.
