Match Report:
The 4's miserable away run continued as they failed to secure their first point. Holcs started in positive mood and should have taken the lead within 5 minutes when a great run by Bobby Heard provided Chris Green with an open goal. Normally so reliable in front of goal he somehow hit the post instead.
Holcs continued to dominate until once again the opposition brought on a sub called "Super" Mario who had just played in the game previous.
This completely changed the dimension of the game and he created the first goal in which a miss hit bouncing bomb shot deflected off the diving Trevor Foster. The same player then made it 2-0 with a fierce shot just inside the post.
Once again Holcs came out fighting to pull back the deficit. Digby Lund took 2 bad knocks for his troubles and Oli Fyffe worked his socks off but could not provide the final touch.
Ashford created more chances but were denied by the visitors defence and Fosters last ditch goalline save. Joe Lund took on the keeper and scored with a great reverse stick shot. However the equaliser again was just out of grasp.
